Honoring Our Fallen Heroes

The Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania celebrated Independence Day by honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

More than 100 brethren and their wives, many of whom are veterans, traveled by coach buses, preceded by a contingent of Widows Sons, who escorted them to Arlington National Cemetery.

After the noontime Changing of the Guard, R.W. Grand Master Larry A. Derr and R.W. Senior Grand Warden P.J. Roup placed a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, flanked by R.W. Junior Grand Warden Lynn B. (Bud) Baker and Brother Joseph C. Reuter, Chair, Blue Lodge Revitalization Committee. Afterward, attendees gathered outside the Memorial Amphitheater (shown on the cover) to pose for a photograph and stroll around the cemetery.
